Confusion In Life
Ever feel that Life is so hectic that you just want to scream? Ever feel that everything bad always happens at once? Ever feel like the world is against you? Ever feel like you just want to give up?
This USED to happen to all of us sometimes… but as our world seems to get crazier and crazier, it seems to happen more often… Sometimes it’s like that more than its “normal”. But what is “Normal”?
As time “marches on” the word “Normal” changes… It USED to be normal to have a family – a mother, father and kids… Now it seems normal to have single parent families, families with step-parents and step-siblings, families that may have 2 MALE parents or 2 FEMALE parents, or maybe even no family at all! I met a young lady recently that had just turned 18, both parents had passed away and she was no on her own, with no help, no guidance and a 14 year old brother that was now HER responsibility to raise… Kids raising kids with NO direction, no experience in how to survive and NO HOME! Believe it or not – Even THAT is becoming NORMAL… And that’s just talking about family.
“Friends” are very rare to find – TRUE friends that is… The word “Friend” has changed over that last decade… Now your “Friend” may just be someone who you have never met in person… just a name and possibly a picture (if it is real) on the internet. There are very rare instances where a “Friend” will even stick up for you… Movies and TV shows depict the “popular” thing to do as being mean to other people, stabbing a friend in the back (and sometimes literally), and doing whatever you can to your “friend” to make yourself look good, and make them look bad.
What is happening to our world?
Look at your community, your economy, your government, your cities… They are NOTHING like they were a decade or two ago… But our Kids are growing up thinking this is “NORMAL”. I have always called it the boiling frog principal. (Sorry if this sounds cruel to you, but it’s very appropriate)…
Boil a pot of water and try to cook a frog in it – the frog will hop right out or try everything it can to get out… If you put a frog in room temperature water it will stay in – feeling very comfortable. You turn the temperature up on the stove and the water slowly gets hotter. The frog becomes accustomed to the water as the temperature rises… Sooner or later the water becomes boiling – the frog does not realize it has become dangerous, and the frog is COOKED! DEAD! GONE!
This seems to be our mentality in today’s world. As the “temperature” rises we become accustomed to it and sooner or later WE ARE COOKED!
Think about it. It applies to almost everything we do or surround ourselves with in life… AND WE SIT THERE AND TAKE IT, because it is earier to “Give In” to things around us that are inappropriate as opposed to taking the time to fix them before they get out of control…
Think about anything – the other morning my internet was not working… (Maybe I should just get rid of it – but that’s a whole other issue)… I was on the phone with my service provide from 1:40pm until 4:40pm trying to get it fixed… I was transferred 7 times and talked to some rather rude people (but also 2 nice ones that TRIED to help)… When everything was said and done – my internet STILL did not work… So I had to have a “technician” come out the next day between 1 and 5… Like I have time to sit and wait for 4 hours for a technician. While I was in a meeting in the mid-morning, my phone rang and went to voice mail. When I got out of the meeting it was the technician saying he was waiting for me. I called back right away and got his voicemail, leaving him a message that I was not expecting him until 1-5, but I could meet him there now… just call me back… NO CALL… At 4pm I called again… He said nobody ever called him back so he closed out the service call… I asked if he checks his voice mail and he just shrugs… So I DID get him to come out, and he seemed to want to da as little as possible to help… Long story short (too late) he did fix it saying the wiring was all wrong (or course it had been working fine for many month and NOBODY changed the wiring) – BUT he did get it fixed for NOW…
The issue there is that it would have been easy to quit - to give up and just take it… I didn’t have the time to glue my ear to a phone, or to wait around for hours for a technician to show up and then gripe… and take 1 ½ hrs to fix something that could have been done in 15 minutes (guess he was being paid by the hour). BUT I DID… I refused to let the temperature of the water get turned up higher and higher until IT JUST SEEMED NORMAL, to have a messed up internet.
Our Economy keeps getting worse… we just take it…
Our Children are getting ruder (some of them)… we just take it…
Our Stores customer services are awful… we just take it…
Our Government is slowly trying to take away our rights…we just take it…
WHEN ARE WE GOING TO STAND UP FOR OURSELVES?
All the while, the MOST important thing we can have in our lives is suffering…. OUR FAITH!
If you know anything about the Bible, about God, about Christ AT ALL… you know that this is our salvation… That Satan IS ALIVE and working… That Satan IS working at destroying our way of life…
It is amazing how many people believe in Ghosts, in Spirits, in Aliens… But DON’T believe in God or in Jesus Christ!
SOMEDAY (Maybe sooner than later) the Bible says TRUE CHRISTians will be raised up to be with God and Jesus – that a BATTLE between Good and Evil IS COMING – that Satan will be allowed to Rule for a period of time… BUT this does not mean that we have to sit back and take it!
We need to REALLY KNOW God…
Believe in Jesus Christ and to listen to and trust in the Holy Spirit!
I am NOT a doomsayer… I am a BELIEVER… I watch the world and compare it to what the BIBLE says will happen… It is taking place right in front of our eyes…The water is getting Hotter and Hotter… We WILL be like the frog if we don’t do something and trust in God, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit!
